We know how important it is for retailers to have peace of mind regarding the security of their POS. Some time ago, we shared an article about the checks that you can apply to keep your POS secure. 5 Ways to Secure Your POS against Theft in Candela In our recent candela releases, more checks and features were added to further beef up the security of your system. New additions include a log of the removed items from the sales and return grid. If a salesperson scans/loads items and then removes some of the items from the grid, the system will create a log of all such items. You can check the log of removed items for a particular shop/user in a new report: B-21 Deleted Sale Items Report (12.1.3.0) Many Candela users asked for the discount limit feature for product-discount on the sales and return screen. In 12.1.2.9, we have introduced this feature. For this, a new text field Unit Discount Limit (%) is added at “System Configuration >Sale tab > Misc. tab”. The system will not allow you to enter product-discount more than the given product discount limit. In release 12.1.2.7, the auto receipt hold function is also further enhanced. Now for all auto-held receipts, the system will show the reason for holding the receipt along with the date and time in the comments box. Talking of POS, one of the most requested features by the candela personal version users is POS-based items. Now we have made it available for the personal version users as well.
